As I write this, we’re at T-30 days until the school year starts up again, and TBH, I’m 90%1 looking forward to it. After graduating out 30ish Seniors from Rio Lindo Adventist Academy out in Northern California, packing up a house full of junk important stuff, moving across the country in a 3-day, 1,800 mile road trip with my best friend, Gus, and getting settled into TEXAS LIFE™, I’m pretty excited about the prospect of getting to meet and learn with a pretty highly-touted group of Burton students. I’ve spent the last couple of days working my way through the curriculum, doing some research, and beginning on some long-term planning for my English II, English IV, Professional Communications, and Computer Apps classes, and I’ve got to say… I’m pretty excited. I mean, not nay nay excited, but not too far off it.

He ready.

He ready.

Here’s to enjoying the last half of summer break and getting mentally prepped for one heck of a school year!

  1. 90% is strong. I can’t say I’m hating sleeping in, day-long Netflix binges, and not grading all evening.
