Welcome to Career Day! One of the cutest days of the year in Kindergarten! I LOVED seeing my sweet smarties all dressed up, sharing with me why they want to be in that career when they grow up!
This morning in chapel, our guest speaker, Pastor Pablo shared with us how God wants us to have forgiving hearts and shared a very sweet and funny story about two sisters who were fighting. There were lots of giggles throughout chapel today! Here is a picture of the kindergarten class with Pastor Pablo.
Aren’t they just the cutest 21 kids you’ve ever seen? We have several doctors, athletes, performers, cops, astronauts, designers, etc.
These kids are amazing! I know they can be whatever they want to be as long as they keep working hard each and every day! I can’t wait to see where God takes them in life! Until then, we will let them be kindergarteners….. sweet, silly, smart, and amazing kindergarteners.
Have a blessed weekend!
Last Friday was our annual Kindergarten/Senior gift exchange. The seniors come down 1-2 times a month and read, craft, and play with the kindergarteners. Each senior has “adopted” one of your sweet kiddos and I’m not sure who is more excited when we come together, the seniors or the kindergarteners! The seniors had no idea that the kindergarteners had brought them gifts and were so very thankful for the kind gesture. It was a day filled with smiles, music, giggles, and lots of God’s love shining through.
We are blessed to be at Burton. We are blessed to be able to share the true meaning of Christmas. We are blessed to be able to pray, to sing, and to show God’s love each and every day.
Here are some pictures of the kiddos with their seniors on Friday. I love these sweet faces SO MUCH. Thank you for the gift of your children in my life. Through all the ups and downs, I will always say, I have the BEST job in the world. Merry Christmas Everyone!
The officers from Arlington Fire Department Station 10 came to visit us this morning and teach us about fire safety! Each student was able to go inside the fire truck and look at the tools, gadgets, and gear the firemen use each day. Then they opened up all their compartments and showed us even more!
Firefighter Jase put on his head-to-toe fire gear and showed us what it’s like to be a firefighter. He then showed us how to get out of a building if it’s on fire.
We are so very thankful for these men who came to share with us ways to stay safe and what to do in an emergency. They urged the students to go home and talk with their parents about a safe place to meet in case of emergency.
